MBP reboot loop even after ssd replacement

My 2012 MBP (10,1) Retina recently started rebooting out of nowhere with the ‘your computer restarted because of a problem…’ error. I chalked it up to maybe the hard drive finally going. Replaced it with the OWC Aura Pro 6G ssd seen here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NZ8RDZH/ref...

I then installed a fresh copy of Catalina and I’m still getting the same error. It will run for maybe 20 minutes, then go back to the reboot loop again.

I am now at my wits end. Any help would be appreciated.

What does the onboard diagnostics tell you? Reboot your system and press the D key to enter. Did you get any errors?

You may need to go to an authorized Apple repair shop to run the service version of diagnostics as Apple messed up the onboard diagnostics in some versions of firmware so the onboard version won't work.

I may have to take it in. Holding down D when booting up takes me to online recovery.

@scottjohnson - Ask nicely as some shops follow Apple's guidelines on repairing older systems Mac products obsolete worldwide. Just ask for them to run the diagnostics only make sure you take note of the error/s. Some independent shops may have the needed service diagnostics.

FYI - Apple Stores won't help you.
