Almost New PS4 Pro Overheating after replacing thermal paste?

So I purchased my ps4 pro last year 2020 brand new from target. It’s been great but compared to my older Ps4 this one was a lot louder and a few times with COD COLD WAR it would overheat even though it wasn’t hot and the inside I took it apart it was in new condition and immaculately clean I replaced with thermal grizzly and reassembled only to find out I made the problem worse and the game know overheats faster then before and I don’t hear the JET ENGINE FAN KICK ON. I’m tempted to replace the fan but I’m thinking I may have put to much thermal paste an altered the TEMP READING SENSOR!?? PLEASE HELP. Thanks please note :when the Ps4 SHUTS OFF THERE IS NO WARNING LIKE BEFORE IT JUST SHUTS OFF NO ERROR CODES . Also have it plugged into wall and have tried on its side and with spacers under the console even pulled away from walls in open room no luck same result ?
