Nikon 4500 Camera not operational after Lens is installed

I just received my Nikon 3500 back for the 2nd time from Nikon. They say it is fine after testing each time, clean it and send it back. When I install the lens, turn it on the camera clicks (then stops) but will not take a photo. The flash pops up and light sometimes comes on. The Camera will not take a photo even on ‘Auto’. Any help is much appreciated!
