How about giving us a bit more here why are you looking for this cap? Can you fill us in on what led you to this.

Can you at least give us your board number 820-xxxx

OK, let’s verify what you have. Look around the fan edge of the logic board you should see this

Is that what you have?

Hi

I have put all of the numbers that I can find in the logic board on my first post. I just want to find out where can I jump pins 1 and 2

@smudger_1767 - Paul I want to help you! But blindly shooting still again won't help you. Apple alters the layout of the logic board often between models so while the shape of the logic board is the same and even the placement of a connector as in this case, the trace routes are often moved about!

So I'll give you one of the 13" model versions Apple used in this series (there are two) hopefully it's the right one.

@danj the board number is 820-3115-B

I did a search for 7292 in a PDF of the schematics for the MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) and it returned no results. Also couldn’t find it by using board view software. Are you sure there’s a component labeled C7292 in the schematic?

@zpl - I may have mis lead @smudger_1767 I might have grabbed the wrong board.

I think there might've been a mistake - the previous post made by this user listed a MacBook where as here it lists a MacBook Pro. Oops!

According to your logic board serial number, The EEE code for your board indicates that it is a Mid 2012 (2.5GHz Core i5) You should be able to see 820-3115-A silkscreened on it. This board does not have have C7292.

Check you are not looking at the schematic for anything else but a 820-3115.

The components will be in the following area. Underside near the RAM slot. See photo
