1 Device is not powering on
Hello. I got a Creative Nomad Jukebox (the original 6Gb blue) and in the pictures for the listing it shows that it was working (got it months ago and never had the time to bother with it). I pulled it out today and put batteries in it but it doesn’t work. All of the warranty stickers are intact. The top of the device does get warm a little while after being plugged in but nothing on the display. I do have firmware files that I could use to flash it. Any ideas on what the problem is? Random short to ground?

I installed all of the drivers when I got it. I did try turning it on using the method you suggested though it did not work. I have tried flashing the firmware and it does go through but it still doesn’t boot. Also, I have this model. Not the Zen Ztra.

Just curious where you got the firmware from as I can't find anything else for Nomad Jukebox except what I linked and presumably you say that is the wrong firmware

When I looked at it on my phone, it said that if was for the Xtra. Now it shows the original nomad on my laptop. I don't know why but it does now.

the problem is flash chips Atmel AT49LV001 ... i have copy the file bin to write in the new chip ... The chip is obsolete and not recoverable... one compatible is AM29LV010 ... The file bin is avayable ,the very difficult is desoldering chip TSSOP32.... For info : eglio1965@gmail.com
