Where to buy capacitors and resistors for iP8

I have bought this iPhone 8 from a guy off of Facebook marketplace and he said that its fully working only the display panel seems to be broken as there are visible marks of some impact that broke the display and not the screen. I thought that it will be an easy fix by replacing the screen and all good right? I was wrong. Replacement screen has the same problem and nothing shows up.

After some digging on the internet, I found out about the backlight circuit problem that occurs on the iPhone 8. I am quite good at soldering on PCBs and thought I could try this because I see no other way since the repair will cost 200 bucks if I put it to a shop.

Is there any way to tell which resistors and capacitors to buy from the pcb schematic? I have downloaded this software called phoneboard trough which I have found out which resistor and capacitor may have caused the issue but I cant see what are the values of those certain components so I could buy them off of lcsc or some other component seller. Is there any way to see what the values are of certain resistors and capacitors? All i have found is that the fuse resistor which is basically a low wattage 0 ohm resistor and from what i can tell its an 0201 package so it must be a 1/20w but those capacitors, I am not quite sure. They could be 10 uF 15 uF and there is simply no way for me to tell what the value is. I think the issue will be the resistor but from what ive seen it could also be the capacitors. Any help will be tremendous, because otherwise i will probably have to sell it for like 50 bucks on ebay because of the issue.

You really need to find the faulty component before you go replacing things. You have got board view software so use that to find the faulty component. Can you see an image on the screen with a flashlight?

Use a multimeter in diode mode (red probe on ground) and check pins 35, 37 and 39 you will be looking for an open line or short. Once you have found the faulty line you can start checking its components.

If you find an open line the resistor that would need replacing can be found here.

Yes, you are right, thank you so much! I have found out that my problem isn't necessarily the backlight circuit, because there isn't anything displaying, but that its the power U5600 IC and a capacitor that is right next to the display connector that needs replacing. It is visibly torn from the PCB and kind of sits just sits there. But I don't have a hotair because I usually use the one at my dorm and because of distance school and have to wait until schools open up so I can borrow one.

I have found someone selling some dead boards without the apple chip on Aliexpress for $19.99 each. Is that a regular price? It seems too cheap to me.

Anyways thank you so much for the info!

@stepiiis That sounds like the right price.
