How do I fix the the upper screen from having green coloration?

Hi I just got my hands on a used DSi. It seems to run fine except that the top screen has green discoloration at the top. Mostly when the image is black/darker. (see image below) When the screen is white or other light colors it isn’t a problem.

Any tips on fixing this besides a screen replacement?
