plugged it into 220v instead of 110v,now runs on full speed all time

I had plugged my kitchen aid classic mixer into 220v instead of 110v. It started running of full speed from the second use. Now even after plugging into 110v it runs in full speed.

Sounds as if the little electronic phase control board has had it. You can find one on ebay (make sure it is for 110 volts). The Service Manual can be found at:
