How to wash bed pillows? Getting UE code.

I am washing 2 bed pillows - Getting error code UE - load is out of balance. Tried removing 1 pillow and adding bath towels to complete the spin load. Cancelled the normal cycle and am using just the rinse and spin cycle. Then removed the towels and added 2 small couch pillows. Nothing is working!

Take them to a laundromat or borrow a washing machine before computer controls were put on them. A normal washing machine will do it just fine.

Hey there! I can definitely relate to the struggle of washing bed pillows. It's important to keep them clean, but getting them properly washed without causing issues with the washing machine can be a pain.

You can also check out https://www.animelovepillow.com/. They have a great selection of high-quality body pillows decorated with characters from various anime series. They're also really comfortable and perfect for snuggling up with while watching anime or reading manga.

Short answer: get a vintage washer that isn't as sensitive to an uneven load. Mine dances around but keeps spinning unless it is really off balance. Now some hints. On a top loader, position another identical pillow on the other side to balance. On a front loader you're out of luck as the pillow won't stick to the drum like wet cloths will. Unless what you are using is the same weight and holds the same amount of water it will shut down the over smart washer. See first comment. Other "practical hints" wash pillows and quilts etc at a laundry mat in their big machines. That usually works. Another trick is to hand wash in a tub or storage tote and then get a vacuum storage bag. Place wet pillow in bag seal and use a wet/dry shop vac to suck the air and water out. This is safer on your pillow than wringing out. once most of the water is out machine dry, if the care tag allows for this or hang on a cloths line on a sunny day. Regarding Modern energy efficient and low water use machines. Most don't wash well. Huh you say, but you paid $1,800 on sale. Yes the Gov. ratings only consider water savings and energy consumption. They don't care if it gets your work pants clean. Many are super capacity but only use a gal of water. So if you stuff it with jeans only the bottom ones get wet. Useless. Those machines end up on the curb and people who want to actually wash lots of dirty cloths find vintage or commercial machines. go to your used appliance shop and get a thirty year old machine that washes and can be fixed for the next 40 years.
