Mystery piece? Is it important? Ps4 slim
What is this mystery piece ans is it important. I think it drobet out from my ps4 disc reader.

That part is actually not on the blu-ray drive reader side it’s near the metal cover that goes on top of the fan.

In that image see the second orange circle on the top right just under the first one? I think that’s roughly where it goes. Without it that short philips screw wont go in I believe.

I dont know why but im trying download a new game and disc rider starts making clicking noise after couple minutes when it chanches to nother "gear". Same time it says error. Maybe theres something wrong in my disc or does that mystery piece have something to do with it
That piece wouldn't affect it, was the gearing cover removed from the blu-ray drive before? Might need to reset the gearing or simply remove it and put it back in again.
Make sure to take the disc out before doing so and reconnect the ribbon cables for the blu-ray drive to the logic board.
Well i was cleaning my ps4 slims fan and i droped something in my disc reader. So i took my the top of it off and saw that something under laser i could not fit my fingers in there so i turned my ps4 upside down and shked a little bit. Well that "something" came off aswell the mystery piece. After that i putted the metall top pack. I can send a video about the noise.
