My home button and TouchID are working but not clicking

I have a 128 Gigabyte iPad 5th Gen Wi-Fi where the home button works and registers TouchID but does not physically click. I got it from Amazon Renewed and am going to replace the Digitizer because my touch screen isn’t working. Is there anything I can do while my iPad is teared down to fix the jammed/non-clicking home button?

The home button is not a mechanical unit, it electronic. The clicking comes from the tapic engine. I would make sure your settings are set correctly. If you damage the home button you will lose touch Id. And the only way to get back is pay Apple a lot of money. It could possibly the tapic engine. But be careful and don't damage the home button.
