How do I recover photos from my broken and old phone that won’t turnon

Hello! Recently I delved into my storage in my room and came across my old and first ever phone, my Samsung s3 (SIII) Mini, I was excited to of found it as I realised it most likely has a goldmine of old photos and videos of it which would be nice to look back on. However, I have no recollection of how I broke the phone, but all I know is that it does not turn on. I left it on charge for 2 days and still nothing, I’ve tried connecting it to a laptop but the laptop won’t even recognise it? I did end up downloading Phone Rescue for Android hoping that maybe that would help, however to no avail I am unable to connect to the phone at all via USB (I believe this is probably because it can not power on at all, what’s more the phone is most likely dead due to it’s old age), is there any way I could be able to get back into my photos at all, or will I have to end up taking a pricey trip to the repair store to somehow fix the phone?
