Power button is jammed and wont respond and LCD problem

I replaced the touch screen on my iphone 3G. The top power button is jammed and wont respond. Other problem is that the LCD has horizontal lines and colors are all opposite. Any suggestions

You can unscrew the bracket to the power button and hope you can readjust. Sometimes the housing and the bezel separates and this can cause the same issue. You'd have to glue the bezel back to the housing. As for the LCD, you damaged it somehow, just purchase a new one and replace.

Also just found out that ear piece doesnt work either now. Any solutions to that?

You may have just damaged the #3 ribbon when dealing with the screen assembly, it is very fragile. Replace it using this guide:
