Damaged ribbon flex cable to Blu-Ray Drive

So, that happened. Was trying to fix a ‘unrecognised disc’ error by tearing the machine apart (already out of warranty) and somehow managed to damage the ribbon cable. I am trying to find a replacement for CUH-7002B but all I can seem to find are ribbons for CUH-1215A/B. Before I purchase anything I want to make sure the ribbon will work but can’t find any definitie info. Does anyone here know?

There is nothing unique to a ribbon cable. Take a look at the ones listed on eBay for the 1215, and compare it to yours. As long as the number of pins is correct, it should work.

Yeah ribbons should be the same for all pros because pros can actually use the same laser from the PS4 slim.
