How to fix a dropped iPod?

I dropped my Ipod on the ground about an hour ago and it is just the glitchy screen with the lines. How do I fix this techy people? <SOS>

Update: I let it die and then plugged it in and left it alone for a couple hours and it seems to be working fine now. There is still some slight screen flashing but it’s almost unnoticeable.

slightly, yes

Its possible you loosened the connection on your motherboard. There's no cracks or anything on the screen?

Thank you SO MUCH for this solution. My iPod was flickering after I dropped it, no matter what I tried. But I turned it off (powered off) and let it rest a few hours and the flickering was fixed. I’m so grateful 🙏🏻 . (Note: one hour was not long enough, was still flickering)

If you scroll up you’ll see that others have said they let it die and then plugged it in and left it alone for a couple of hours and then turn it on again, this fixed the problem. Their suggestions worked for me. Good luck.

it happens with all 7th gens i wanna believe, when you drop it it kinda like makes the phone panic and renderitself useless like some sad lil puppy on the side of the road. just hold the power, volume, and home button down which resets it and when it powers back on it may flicker but thats only because the LCDs were a bit burned for a bit but will ultimately go back to its normal state within a few hours. it depends on how long the phone was in that state. the longer the phone has the lines the longer the flickering and the lines will appear on the screen. I dont know what causes this but if anyone knows please tell me. im very curious
