Replaced battery, but Maximum Capacity is blank

I just replaced the battery in my iPhone X with an iFixIt battery and the battery status page shows that it has no Maximum Capacity and indicates that the phone needs to be serviced.

The phone seems to be functioning fine ; I’ve gone through one charge/discharge cycle so far. I’m hoping one more full charge fixes this.

Anyone else have an idea of what to do here?

The only way to get battery health to show up on replacement batteries would be to transplant the gas gauge board from the original battery to the replacement battery via soldering.

Not really doable without experience in micro-soldering.

The batteries are serialized and only the battery that was shipped with the phone or replaced by apple will show battery health unless gas gauge is retained as said above.

The gas gauge board is a little daughter board that is located at the bottom of the battery covered by a black sticker.

Personally I would leave it as it is and not risk damaging the battery. It shouldn’t cause any problems with the phone other than no battery health reading.
