So I took out my backplate to put on a replacement. The replacement didnt come with the sticker grilles and 2 sponges in the corner. I took the grilles and put them onto the new one, but the 2 square sponges I couldn’t transfer. Does anyone know their purpose?

The two sponges are to absorb the vibration from the speakers. This can be seen here

this was the sponge i was referring to.
Then probably they should be to protect whatever is below? I don't think they're necessary.
