both of my USB ports are loose can they be replaced?

Hello,

I’m having problems with both USB ports on my MacBook Pro 15” retina, mid 2015. I think they are both loose, if that’s possible. The left one seems looser than the right. When I insert a USB thumb drive or cable it disconnects super quickly. The right is a bit tighter when I plug something into it. It will work fine but if I bump it or move the computer is disconnects.

Could these both be loose or is something else.

Can these be replaced?

See if you can tighten the screws holding the I/O board in place. That failing you may have to replace the board. Here’s how:

Wow! First, thank you for your quick response!

Second, it looks scary. But I have changed a trackpad in my old MacBook Pro, so I think I can do this. I bought a kit of tools so I think I have what I need but I will check. Will let you know how it goes.
