PS3 hard drive not found

Hi, a couple of months ago I stupidly dropped my PS3 super slim, and since then the console’s hard disk drive which I bought separately from the console can no longer be found. I took the hdd out of the console, checked to see if there was any damage, put it back in and it was still wasn't found. I then booted the console into safe mode however only two options are available for me to pick from - “Restart system” and “Change system storage”.

Everywhere I have looked online for solutions, they all have every option available to them, which is no use to me.

Is there any possibility at all of getting this hard disk drive fixed? Please help.

The fastest way I would suggest to test with another known working hard drive, and of course with no important data inside. Normally I would recommend to change to SSD for speed and perfomance, also on reliability.
