I replaced the broken front screen and front facing camera and now the images the camera takes are fuzzy/blurry. I checked the lens area for adhesive, and found it was clean. Did I miss something?

It could be loose or there are fingerprints on the lens
Take it apart and wipe the camera down with a soft cloth till there is nothing on it(clean)
If there still is, the camera my be bad so you may have to have the display assembly exchanged

when you put on the adhesive 3m tape to connect the glass down is it going over the spot where the camera is? I have ordered pieces of tape that werent perfect and they went over the camera area which would make it blurry, you would need to cut that portion out.

As it turns out, the replacement camera was to blame for the poor image. I replaced it with another new one and the image is normal. It looks like it was a defective part. Thanks!
