How do I fix this?

I've honestly never seen that.
Here's a couple things I would try. Triple click the power button, you might be using disability assist. I that doesn't work, reboot your device.
How to reboot, press the volume up button, then down button, and then press and HOLD power button until the display goes black and once you see the apple logo, let go of power. You want to press all the buttons back to back, like counting from 1 to 3. I hope this helped.
