You dropped a clue here which I think is telling “Only a small bend in the display after a fall”

Your display is damaged internally. You’ll need a new display assembly MacBook Pro 15" Retina (Late 2013-Mid 2014) Display Assembly and here’s the guide MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display Late 2013 Display Assembly Replacement

The damage is likely within the T-CON board logic

No, maybe i don’t explain well. After a display cable replacement it works perfectly for 2 hours, this is not what you expect from a broken lcd panel

A damaged display cable would react differently. iDP (also known as eDP) signaling is sorta like digital TV signal Vs analog (similar to the older video signaling system LVDS). A damaged LVDS cable would given you odd colors or distorted image. Here an iDP cable would be more like how a bad digital TV signal reacts either giving no display or a checkered board where the signal was lost. Your flashing bar is caused at the panel after the iDP conversion to the discreet column and row. The T-CON chip on the lower part of the LCD panel is failing.

When you replaced the cable you likely shifted the LCD panel just enough to get it to connect the damaged chip enough to work (see picture above)
