So, I have an iPhone 7 here. it did not charge at all, also clean of gunk, so I changed the lightningport and battery.. no charging.

tried a new one, no charging, tried new battery still nothing.

charging ic?

Definitely a board level issue. It could be the charging IC or another chip.

Actually, I really really apperciate your answer. I own a store.

I had this customers phone and 4 other in queue and I said I will get them all done by the time I close, which is in 5 minutes.

Stupid me was so stressed I actually forgot to plug in the cable to power, so ofc it would not charge.

I cant say I've never done the same. Glad it was an easy fix.
