Home button Logic board connector corroded.

So one of our employees at my Company dropped their phone in the toilet and told us that it broke by itself. After opening the phone i found water droplets and discovered that both the home button logic board connector and the buttons connector itself had signs of corrosion. I have dried the phone off now and used alcohol to clean off all of the corrosion. The phone is currently Fully functional however the home button is intermittent at best and mostly is unresponsive. How can I realisticly replace the home button connector from inside the Phone or is that part not available to buy?

I say this as the button connector looks OK but the connector in the Phone looks as if a couple data lines have been damaged.

Currently I haven’t tried simply using another button, I may order one just in-case.

Any experienced advice is much appreciated :)

Some good definition pictures might help assess the damage and give you some useful advice. However I’d avoid purchasing a replacement part if you have a damage on the logic board. On top of that if you already have corrosion on parts you can see it’s very likely there’s some damage on components under the shields of the logic board where without a proper decontamination will keep progressing.

You can use something to try and brush the connectors peal off the tape on the button itself remove the metal dome and give that a clean
