Chips missing above battery connector -do all of them need replacing?

Hi,

I recently recieved an iPhone 5S stuck in a boot loop, and I noticed some of the chips missing from above the battery connector (I’m guessing they where knocked-off in a prior attempt to replace battery).

The missing chips are: FL11, C279, C23, and C25.

I’ve looked at other similar questions on the forum and have determined that FL11 is essential and must be replaced, however are the remaining three neccessary to replace?

Thanks very much!

You are correct that FL11 is required for proper communication of the battery status to the CPU. The other capacitors are there to insure noisy signals are properly attenuated and in that respect, the device will work without them.

However, if you are charging for repairs, then IMHO you should be replacing all missing components. This is just my humble opinion and it is suitable for framing or wrapping fish (I’m dating myself here ;>).
