Motherboard is compatible with 9.7 version?

Hello, just a question as per title: I’ve a 9.7 Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 that has the SIM slot not working (have tried go to assistance but they cannot repair it).

Was wondering if it’s a motherboard issue, and if the 8.0 inches motherboard can be assembled in the 9.7 unit
