Replaced MacBook 12 Logicboard and wont turn on
Hi, recently bought a Macbook 12 Retina (2015) logicboard, (not from ifixit), however, I did follow their intuitive guide to replace the board. I successfully replaced my prior logicboard which kept giving a kernel panic and was not repairable. However, my bad logicboard would still power on/off, but inevitably turn off.
I just replaced the logicboard (has better SSD card) but now it won’t even power on AT ALL. Doesn’t get hot, doesn’t even make a sound, completely nothing. I tried reseating everything three times included all the cables and nothing is working. I even tried inserting my prior logicboard and that didn’t even power on anymore. Now I’m thinking it’s the ribbon cables, but how would this affect my macbook from powering on/off? The battery light (when opened up) gives an LED signal that it’s on - but won’t power on.
I did very VERY slightly rip one of the trackpad ribbon cables , (and was going to replace) but this shouldn’t have an effect on the macbook turning on?
Is dit een goede vraag?
The cable also carries the power switch signal with the keyboard.
You'll need to replace the cable before you can move forward.
