Why is the display not working after I reinstalled the RAM?

I removed and reinstalled the RAM and HDD and powered my laptop and it ceases to display anything. As a matter of fact it was working properly before but was crashing during Windows Xp loading with BSOD, Now the laptop powers on but no display whatsoever.

It is seem to be only some boot hardware failure. Do you get any system beep sound when you power on laptop. Do one thing. Only install RAM in same slot where it was working before. Do not install HDD. Now power on laptop. Also inform any LED on display turn on or now.

I think ram is not properly installed or hdd is not properly fixed. Inform us what is system sound or beep sound when turn on.

The ram may not be seated in fully or dust is inside the ram slot. Make sure they are seated in well.

Hi @huracanevo ,

You didn't leave the battery in when you removed / replaced the RAM and HDD did you?

Try a power reset,

remove battery (and charger if inserted) press and hold Power button for 20-30 seconds then release.

Insert charger and switch on charger (leave battery out)

Assuming RAM at least is installed, turn on laptop and check if display works.

I actually went through Youtube videos that said static could be the cause of display not working......I did that multiple times as well ...no luck
