I dropped my phone, the screen didn't crack but I have this light on the side about 0.2 inch. Appended pictures.
Should I change a new screen or it’s a connection issue ? Anyone has any suggestion? thx!

Hey Piper, it is possible that the LCD connection is slightly loose, I would suggest disconnecting the battery, and then reseating the LCD connectors, and then connecting the battery. If this doesn’t work, it is possible the backlight in your display may have been slightly damaged, and will require a new screen to fix. I hope this helps!

The iPhone X has an OLED screen, not an LCD, and the lines seen here is typical OLED drop damage. A new screen s the way to go, unfortunately.

Did you end up figuring out how to fix the light?
I dropped my phone and the screen didn't brake but now I have that same strip of light on the bottom of the screen. Hurts my eyes.

A friend dropped his iPhone and has the exact bright right edge. It must be a common thing and its fix.
Any info would be appreciated.
@emillach That's a damaged OLED; I've seen a lot of them. You'll have to replace the screen.

You can damage the LCD and not the Digitalizer, which is what looks like happened. a new screen should fix it.

I have a question my cell phone one day just stop working I cant get it to come back on.so I took it apart and theres a little brown mark on the strip that connects to the back of my screen what does that mean? If anyone could help me out with this that would be great thank u.
