I have a Ford Freestar 2005 and the “check tires” light comes on sporadically for no reason. When I check the pressure in all tires it is normal. I just got brand new tires 3 weeks ago and the “check tires” light has come on 3 times already!!!!

Dan There is a battery in the sensor and they do tend to last a long time . That said your van is 14 years old and I think the batteries have done quite well to have lasted this long . I’m surprised the tire shop didn’t try to sell you a new set of sensors . You can get a new set of 4 for under a hundred dollars on eBay or Amazon and there not that hard to replace . Its just a matter of letting the air out of your tires and breaking the bead at the valve and then pushing the tire down to the point of being able to remove the valve and replacing it with the new unit . Hope this helps

Once the horn beeps; then what? Do I go to any other tires or is problem solved when horn sounds when I let air out of left front tire?

My vehicle is a 2005 Ford Freestar but this vehicle is NOT listed when I click on Ford????

The batteries in your tire pressure sensors may be getting low. A GM mechanic told me that you can't change the batteries in the tire pressure sensors in a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT. I always wanted to try, though. Long story short, we traded in that vehicle for another one, so I'll never know if you can change the batteries on the tire pressure sensors or not.
