ASUS LCD panel replacement

Hi I have an Asus MG248QR with a broken screen and I'm wondering if I can replace the panel with my VG248QZ. From what I can gather, they have the same panel but different chipsets(not sure if that's the correct term). Is it as easy as just plugging the new panel in??
