No power from outlet to system

Hello all! My Ps4 slim has stopped working on me. I recently moved, and not to long ago, my Ps4 died. It does not have a power indicator light, nor does it make any sound when plugged in. I opened it up and found a lot of roaches in it. After looking around on google, I've come to the conclusion that my power supply shorted out. Is there a way to fix this, or do I have to buy a whole new power supply? If I have to buy a new power supply, what would your suggestion be, to reduce the risk of roaches or other bugs causing another short?

Power supplies on these consoles are sometimes fixable but it’s usually difficult and time consuming trying to trace down the problem. You’d also have to have expert level soldering skills to make the repair. I don’t normally advocate for people to buy another part vs fix it but in this case it would be the best option.


As far as keeping roaches out of it you might try keeping it in a sealed container when you’re not using it.
