My 2 and 3 year olds opened my disc tray and put crackers into it. I was wondering how to fix it. It obviously wont open and close properly and I, again obviously, wont place a disc into it. I was wondering how to fix this issue.

I would open the case and remove the optical drive and clean it.

how do I clean it out after I get it out? @bearl
I would disassemble the drive following the guide from @ajcooke01 and when the parst are apart to use compressed air to blow the dirt away with.

@justlost You can take out the Optical Drive with the iFixit guide I provided below, and you can disassemble the drive for cleaning with the other external guide I provided below.
