My zte blade x external speaker isn't working why?

Presumably, when you say that the external speaker is not working, you are not getting any sounds emanating from the phone’s loudspeaker, such as ringtone on an incoming call or any notification sounds, is this correct?

Have you checked that the do not disturb option has not been selected?

Can you hear the ringtone if you select a new ringtone? (see link above).

Try starting the phone in safe mode to check if you can now hear sounds from the loudspeaker.

If you can then a downloaded app is the cause of the problem. The trick is to find out which one is the cause.

If you cannot hear sounds from the loudspeaker after trying all the above, then perhaps the speaker is faulty or has become loose from the systemboard.
