Canon has great customer service and I have contacted them many times hassle free and they helped me fix my camera. I would try contacting them about this particular issue as they would probably be able to help you out better then I can.

Hi @ajcooke01 ,

You may wish to amend your answer from "....help you out better then we can" to ".....help you out better then I can", as you don't know if there is anybody else out there who may know the solution to the problem.

Don't assume as it can make an ASS out of U and ME.

Cheers.

@jayeff Isnt that assuming it was directed at you? No. It was directed at no one besides me and I just worded it wrong. There you go telling me not to assume and you do. You do realize I am only 14 and I still have a long way to go with my writing skills. Just give me a little slack for once and don’t start with threats please.

Hi @ajcooke01 ,

I'm at a loss to see the threat.

Also I didn't assume that you worded it incorrectly, I presumed that you wrote it correctly in the first place. That it was what you meant to say. You can only go on what is written down at the time.

The saying may have been somewhat misplaced, It was meant to point out that one should never assume as it could possibly lead to wrong conclusions.

The saying is a play on the spelling of the word itself assume, i.e. ass u me.

Cheers.

@jayeff "Don't assume as it can make an ASS out of U and ME."? That is a textbook threat in the USA. I would never speak to someone like that again or use that example as that can get you into deep crap if you say that to someone in the USA.

@ajcooke01 ,

Ahh, the different usage of the word ass in the English language. Here it is not referring to the human buttocks but to an animal, a donkey which is also known as an ass.

Here when using that phrase, an ass is a description of a person who does foolish things e.g. he's made an ass of himself

Apologies then
