Mower won’t start but will click (carburetor clicks)

So I have an MTD riding Mauer, and when I put the key and start it does no crank at all but a click can be heard in the carburetor. I have tried everything I replaced the solenoid that is under the seat, I have replaced the battery. I have tried everything to get it to start and nothing seems to work. I have the starter hooked straight up to the battery parenthese I have replaced the battery. I have tried everything to get it to start and nothing seems to work. I have the starter hooked straight up to the battery ( which is completely dead) and I have the battery hooked up to a jump pack. When I turn the jump pack on the mower will crank. It will only start sometimes like that. I really don’t know what to do. I feel like I’ve tried everything. Even with my starter hooked up to the jump pack/battery thing that I made The engine only started once and I have the throttle lever all the way up . I will post pictures of my current set up and I will send pictures of anything else that you guys asked me to. I really need help getting us to start

If you can get it to run even for a minute, then the following may fix it for you:

Go to your local auto parts store and get some Seafoam gas treatment (https://seafoamsales.com/small-engines/). Get a can of fresh gas while you are out. Mix some of the Seafoam into the gas that you buy.

Now drain all of the gas out of your lawn mower, and replace it with the new gas / seafoam mix.

Now crank your engine. If it will run for even a minute, the new gas / seafoam mix will have a chance to work its way through the fuel system, cleaning it of any gunk that is built up in there.

My lawn mower would run for just a moment, and it would then die. I did the above, and afterward my lawn mower ran like new. A year later, it is still running like new.

If you can't get your engine to run, then perhaps you could spray some Seafoam directly into the carburetor. That might get the engine running long enough to let the fresh gas / Seafoam mix work its way through the fuel system, cleaning it from any gunk that is in there.
