I am getting multiplying cat emoji's in my picture gallery

How do I get rid of them? They say they are previews. I manually deleted dozens of them the other day but they have all come back. I ran malwarebytes and Kapersky anti-virus but those didn't help.

Hi @talkdotcom ,

How quickly do they reappear?

Just wondering if it is an app or a website that you have visited that creates its' own folder in Gallery.

If they come back quickly, can you delete them and then start the phone in safe mode? This should prevent any 3rd party app from downloading in the background.

If they don't come back in a reasonable amount of time it points to a 3rd party app. The trick is to find out which one

Also if it is a website check which ones you may have 'visited' by looking in the browser History.

Just some thoughts.

Are this always exactly the same cat-emojis? Do you have an emoji game or an emoji keyboard app on your smartphone? Maybe this emoji app automatically adds the cats-emojis to your picture gallery.
