I have replaced the battery in the S7 because the screen was broke so while I was in there I went ahead and replaced batteries because my old one was not fast charging I thought it was a bad battery problem but it was not .. new battery in and fast charging option turned on.. original plug used . help!

I would definitely recommend making sure you're using a fast charging block that is OEM from Samsung. If you're using that and it's still not fast charging, look into replacing the charging port flex. You'll have to be super careful as the navigation buttons are attached to the charging port cable and go through the frame to sit under the main display. But if you've already replaced it once, it should come up a lot easier.

Chances are the charging port needs to be replaced but that's going to be a PITA to do as you need to lift the screen up and the chances of cracking it is high.
Worst case scenario, charging IC issue.

Hi!
In order for your phone to be able to use fast charging you have to use a cable that is able to carry enough current and a power supply that is able to generate that current. Look for one that is outputting at least 5V/ 2.4A for fast charging.

I would assume they are using the same cable they used to be able to fast charge with. Changing the charging port seems like it could work. I have replaced my battery after it started discharging quicker than it used to. Also at that time fast charging stopped working. I have to keep it in medium power saving mode for it to last more than 3-4 hours.

Make sure it was not accidentally turned off.
Galaxy S7 Fast Charging
1) Launch the Settings Application.
2) Scroll Down and Tap on the 'Battery' Option.
3) Toggle the 'Fast Charging' Option On or Off.

Hi, I have a similar issue. I replaced the battery but the fast charging still doesn’t work. I also replaced the charging port entirely, and fast charging did come back for about a week, but then it stopped. It’s possible that you may be having a charging port issue. I’ll try to take my phone apart again and see if I can adjust anything and hopefully have fast charging again.

Iam using a samsung adaptive fast charger and cable.. OEM !

PITA (acronym of pain in the arse)
Charging IC is a USB / charging communication chip on the logic board that handles power routing for the charging port, battery (Whether the phone should be drawing power from the wall or the battery.)
