Gear issue in mira automatic

I have mira 2006 automatic car. It won't go into reverse without first moving ahead by using D gear. Secondly it does not smoothly shifts into second and third gear. I have to put a lot of pressure on gas to do this. However both reverse and other gears work perfectly when car is going downward slope.
