Why is there no guide to replace the lighting connector?

On my ipad mini 2 a1489 i am replacing the battery and lighting connector and there is not a guide for the replacement of the lighting connector. Is that because the contact is not snap on and needs to be micro soldered ?

That is correct. If it need soldering there will be no guide.

Thanks, i guess i will be getting my own micro sodering tools. I’m fixing up broken ipads for my friends who can’t afford one.give me something to do.
