Can my iMac 21.5 Mid 2014 replace HDD

I have an iMac 21.5 Mid 2014 EMC 2085

My internal Hard Drive have a lot of bad sector and work really slow. I'm going to replace it I wonder if this iMac can use any 3rd party Hard Drive or it need extra temperature sensor to make everything work as normal. Can anyone confirm this. Original HDD from my apple authorized really expensive.

Thank you very much.

I thought you did need the thermal sensor but the OWC site is not showing it for the 2014:

@mayer - The 'Thin Series' 21.5" models use 2.5" drives and use SMART services natively. It's only the 3.5" drived modes that need the OWC in-line sensor.

The only rub here is you need a drive that supports the newest version of SMART this is were things get messy as many aren't publishing what they support so you can get into trouble using to old a drive. The OWC drives offered in your link are good!

@mayer @danj I will try order OWC Hard Drive without thermal sensor first to see if it work. This is very helpful. Thank you very much.
