Light Not Working - How to Pull Apart?

Hi guys,

My son was given a Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends Wooden Railway train called Proteus:

The light isn't working. I suspect the switch is broken because it doesn't click when I depress it. I've been trying to work out how I can take it apart without breaking it.

Has anybody ever pulled one of these Thomas engines apart?
