What options to remove extremely tight bluetooth aerial screw?

I am trying to replace the DVD drive with a second HDD. The right hand bluetooth aerial screw (http://guide-images.ifixit.net/igi/UoJNE...) is very tight and the head is now partially stripped.

What can I try to loosen and remove the screw?

  1. Make sure you have the right screwdriver. Drivers and screws can vary, so the best way is to check it yourself.
  2. Put a dab of superglue on the tip of the screwdriver, hold it for a few seconds to let it bond, then use a lot of downward pressure as you rotate.
  3. If that fails, use a dremel to cut a notch in to the screw, then use a flathead screwdriver to remove it. Cover the rest of the machine with plastic first so the metal shavings don't touch any electrical components.

sometimes impact can help with overtightened screws. i would have a friend tap (lightly) on the top of the screwdriver while you turn it and while pressing down really hard on it. sometimes heat can help loosen things up. hold a soldering iron to the top of the screw head to heat up the screw. try at your own risk. these methods i've used on cars but never on computers. the dremel idea is one to consider but really risky due to the mess. i've also heard that tightening it further can break it loose. (sounds crazy but it can work.)
