Gekozen oplossing

I'm currently using 3Gs, But same thing occurred to me.

Actually, The glass surface is not cracked, But inner 'touch-responsive' layer is cracked.

So, You have to replace the whole glass.

Pretty easy fix, follow the guide here. Save yourself the trouble of picking off glass shards and just spend the extra 10 bucks on a complete replacement - i get my stuff from this guy -

Make sure you are careful disassembling the old screen off, if you pull too hard and yank it all the way off youll bust the label 3 connector. its a tiny lever you flip up, then slide the ribbon out.
