Running out of charge very quickly and feels hot
iPhone is not holding charge. It feels hot too. Please help

Sounds like your battery is dead. You will need to replace it. But to be honest. Just get a new phone, that one is old, slow and almost obsolete, so its really not worth fixing and the best bet it to just get a new phone.

But the phone still works and serves its purpose.
Yes, but its getting old now and will soon be obsolete. A new phone will make the experience so much better. My brother actually want from a 4S to a cheap samsung phone which was like 100 bucks and its 10 times better. With a larger screen and it can play games no issues.

Thank you so much for your answer, I kind of thought it was not worth a new battery. I did however try the new battery and as you said it didn't solve the problem . Once again I thank you for your response

There could be something shorted. But if you can afford it, a new phone will be better then dealimg with fixing this. But when did this problem occur and what happened before it? Did you drop it in water or something? Also try taking the logoc board out and any other circuit boards and clean them in 99% isopropyl alcohol. That might remove any contaiments that could be causing this.
