Very strange screen problem

Hi

I had this problem with several customers now. Before I replace the new screen for customer, I always test the new screen, pluging the LCD and digitizer and turn it on, testing the screen.

So today a customer with a cracked 5S screen came in, I did the same thing. The new screen works great. I put camera and home button on, and install the screen, turn it on.

Not working! I tried a charge to turn it on. No response. The phone is like dead. I unplug every connector and the battery connector, plug all again and turn it on. No response.

Desperate. Try another screen. The same thing exactly. When just plug LCD and digitizer, every thing is good. After put camera and homebutton, not working.

Any body knows the reason?

Thanks,

Did you try with just the camera or just the home button to find which one is faulty? Try a new camera assembly first, these are usually defective.

NO, I didn't. I just unplug the battery and plug it back and try to turn it on. No response. However, if I put the cracked screen back, with camera and home button, , everything works fine.

Where do you get your screens from? It could be a faulty screen interfering with something else.

Like said above either a faulty screen and/or front camera flex.

If screen is defective, why the first time I test it , it works. Only stop working after I put everything on it.

So? Go unplug the front camera flex then try turning it on? No issue yet? Then try home button flex.

If stop one replace the part.

And yes I have had a internal cable damage from ribbon flex just from taking it out from the screen to put into new screen assembly without being able to physically see it. I concluded the front camera cable got damaged during disassembly.

I'm not sure whether you have tried that or not. If you haven't you are wasting your time lol.
