After Disconneting Battery When I connect The Charger Nothing Happened

After Disconneting Battery When I connect The Charger Nothing Happened. Charger Does not work. Its fell like my laptop is dead. But After connecting back the battery Chargers works and everything looks fine.

Please share your usable advice and explain why is that so?
