Just replaced the display assembly and now getting a black screen

Just replaced my display assembly and now getting a black screen. I've tried resetting the phone, turning it off by sliding where the power off slide button would be and tried plugging it into ITunes to restore and nothing. The restore option is asking for the password which I should have taken off before I did the repair but didn't. When docked with my speaker it plays music so I know it's not the battery. I have taken it's a part several times and checked the cable from the displaceably to the board in a does not appear to be damaged. Looking for any help anyone can provide.

I agree sometimes the LCD connection can pop off when putting it back together on iPhone 4 / 4s.

Also OP check the LCD and digitizer connectors on the logic board for any bent pin / physical damage. If they look fine and you already tried reseating with no success then the screen is probably bad.

Next time if you do intend to replace the screen again be careful of the ribbon cables they need to go through the front screen metal housing hole fully and not be squished behind the hole. Personally I've teared the digitizer cable before and LCD cable on first time.

Chances are you, could be a bad display assembly but I would check all the connections to make sure they are clean
