Why does the device not charge when plugged in?

When I plug in the ac adapter into the Insignia Flex 11.6 the device will not charge. It doesn't look like the device even registers that the ac adapter is plugged in.

This issue there are a couple of possible causes first being the battery is dead and batteries die from being on the charger for too long and with time, the second being the ac adapter isn’t working. To verify that it is not the ac adapter you will need another identical ac adapter from BestBuy to check if that is the issue. If the new charger doesn’t help the next step would be taking the back cover off the Insignia Flex and replacing the battery. The next big issue with the Insignia Flex 11.6 is the charging port. The charging port is a big issue on cell phone and tablets it wears out overtime. If you plug in the charger and it doesn’t register that usually means that the port it worn out. To fix the port you are going to have to replace it by taking the back cover of the Insignia device off and replacing the part.

1. The USB C cord that came with my Flex was slightly loose so it would feel like it was seated but just a small movement of the cord was enough to stop the charging, so I ordered a good quality 10 ft cord.

2. The 2 amp charging brick that came with my Flex was just enough power to slowly discharge the battery if I was plugged in while using it...not acceptable so I tried the QC 3.0 brick from my phone and it was providing enough power to slowly charge the Flex (Power level usage set to 3) while using it so I'm assuming it was probably getting 2.4 amps...so I got a good replacement cord that was rated to USB C 3.1 (apparently 3.1 is much better at handling power than 3.0) but not rated for video and I also got a power brick that the USB-C port delivered a max of 60 watts.
