Front Screen Replaced, Touch Screen Still Not Working

Hello,

The touch function on the screen of my iPhone 4S recently stopped working. The screen still turns on and works as normal but the screen does not respond to touch inputs.

I bought a new 4S display assembly from iFixit and successfully replaced this part, but the problem persists. The screen turns on and works as normal but the touch function does not respond to any inputs.

What is the issue now? Do I need to replace the logic board? Also, if I do need to replace the logic board, I noticed all of the parts offered on iFixit are locked to US carriers. I am in Canada and while my phone is unlocked, I am on a plan with Fido. Where can I find a logic board that will be suitable to use?

Thanks,

Tim

Hi!

What specific screen parts have you replaced? Can you please send a link to where you bought the replacement part(s). As for buying a new logic board, I would suggest looking on craigslist/ebay.

Hi, I purchased the 4S LCD Screen and Digitizer (part only) from iFixit.

Link is here: iPhone 4S Screen

The replacement went smoothly and as I mentioned earlier, the new screen works as normal except the touch function is still not responding. What should I do?

I would double check your connections first, if those are good then yes it is your logic board. As far as how to acquire one for Canada I could only guess ebay, craigslist, ect.
